Moms Against Poverty (MAP) is a global non-profit organization with the mission to nurture and educate underprivileged children to their fullest potential, so that one day they can contribute and lead within their own communities and break the cycle of poverty. Our work is holistically minded, advancing communities one program at a time toward well-being and self-sufficiency.
Lisa Paulo started her professional career in 1992 working at Shear Pleasure in Fremont, CA. She worked at Shear Pleasure for 8 years and has since been at Ma Belle Salon. In that time span she took numerous professional continuing education classes on various color, cut and style techniques. Most recently, she has attended the Redken New York Exchange, and is inspired by the latest trends. Loving fashion and style she specializes in working with fine hair (cuts and color).
She is also inspired with charity work, most recently participating in not only a “free styles for mothers with cancer stricken children”, but also a “military moms styling session”. She is also fluent in American Sign Language.

Raman Veer is a licensed cosmetologist with extensive experience in hairstyling, coloring, and precision cutting. Known for blending artistry with modern trends, Raman has worked with celebrities, fashion shows, and editorial shoots, creating looks that are both stylish and personalized. Always having a passion for fashion, Mojdeh has been a professional Hair Stylist for almost 30 years. After graduating Beauty College in 1988, she spent years training at some of the world’s most fashion forward institutions. Mojdeh was trained at Yosh Hair Salon in Palo Alto, which is known for putting their Hair Designers through a rigorous training program before they consult and cut hair for customers. Gaining experience, Mojdeh became part of the management at Visual Image in Fremont.
In July 2001 her dream of owning her own salon became a reality when she created Ma Belle Hair Salon in hopes of creating a professional but fun atmosphere that also included elegance and class. Fundraising and helping her community through Ma Belle and through fashion is something that Mojdeh is also passionate about, and something employees at Ma Belle have devoted themselves to.
